Padma just kept eating, not even realising, except that people were laughing, and then when the trumpets sounded, she dropped her fork and looked up, and THEN she saw it.
I didn't know she could turn that red. I could practically see steam coming out of her ears, like she'd taken Pepper-Up potion.
It was dead smart to have Lee do it. You weren't there, and the twins weren't there, and Percy was talking to Sandoval when it happened, so she can hardly blame him. And Ginny was reading a book and taking notes at the table, so I haven't heard anyone guess it was her. Guess that your whole family's off the hook, even if Padma was saying it must have been a Weasley that hexed her.

No, that was us. We nicked her comb from her bookbag, and after hexing it, slipped it back in. She didn't notice, and she probably didn't use the comb till that night, so she has no way of knowing (or proving) that it was us.
Its rumoured that her shrieks the next morning woke up half of Ravenclaw tower.
I have my suspicions -- but I have no intention of looking into the matter too closely. It's rare enough that we see a display of purely youthful high-spirited practical jokery! I'll save my worries for the real malefactors, thank you!
