If you are staying in the castle over the holidays, you must continue to observe school rules.

If you are leaving on the Hogwarts Express tomorrow, please be sure that any luggage you are taking with you is marked clearly with your name. The last thing anyone needs is one's valises to get lost.

The train leaves promptly at 9:00 AM. Please finish your packing accordingly.

Those YPL and CCF students who are joining the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang delegations over the holidays, we will see you at the rendez-vous point in New London for each trip. Remember to bring pocket money for your incidentals.

Hey!

I'm really sorry. They suddenly added all these CCF and YPL trips various places with chaperones and everything. It's going to interfere with some of our hunting, I'm afraid. I don't know if you have any appointments lined up, but I sent you an owl with the dates I'm going to be helping. It's an utter bore but like you said, it's important that Siz give me a good recommendation.

I haven't told Dad anything yet. About our plans. Have you? I mean, has your mother settled down about it?

Well. I guess I'll see you tomorrow! I've told Dad I'm staying with Laverty overnight but of course that's bunk. Really I'm booked in at the Duck and Drake. It's probably horrid but it had the best rate I could find.

It is not ideal that we can't spend much time together for the holiday, but I certainly understand and agree with your reasoning. Good recommendations can be so crucial.

I'll meet you when the train arrives. I've told my mum that I'm going out with you for dinner, and we're meeting up with a group of friends from my year and yours, and I'm staying the night with Atticus Ito.

I'll have to be back at the Burrow early tomorrow, though, sorry. It's Fred and George's coming of age birthday, and Mum wants us all there.

Oh. Well, is your mother going to do her nut, then, about you staying in New London overnight?

I guess it's just as well I'm going along with the group to the Tower tomorrow, since you've got a family gathering.

And I mean, from your last owl before the break, it sounded like Mr Malfoy's got far too much for you to take any time away during the week. Though I hope we can at least look at a few places. I've been talking to Kelly Chau, because her parents are real estate agents, and she said even a flat can sometimes take over a month to become move-in-ready, especially if it needs to be made suitable for wizards. Although for renting it's not often quite so bad. But it's not so much about finding a place now, as it is agreeing on what sort of place we like and the neighbourhood and all that.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound ungrateful that we'll have any time together at all. It's brilliant that you thought to meet the train, and that we'll get to spend tonight, all night, together. Now I wish the train would go even faster!

Mum hasn't given me a hard time about it. She just gave me A Look, but didn't ask any questions. Perhaps she thinks it best if she doesn't know.

We'll be able to talk about the sorts of places we want to look at, at least. Perhaps my time will open up more this week than expected. Let's hope so.
