How quickly you FORGET! How quickly you TURN away! How quickly you SPEAK their names no more. A fortnight ago, we gathered for what became CARNAGE!! And now, there is silence.
How many of you even asked if Douglas Wentworth was well? If he had been returned to the CHEADLE camp, or quietly DISAPPEARED, or what else? We hold his fate in PRIVATE, for his SAFETY, but he is well and strong and GLAD to be alive.
The DogStar does not forget. The DogStar CALLS OUT the names of those who died. The DogStar will AVENGE their murders.
Arnold Sheard, you who were the FIRST TO DIE, we remember you. You who were a muggleborn WIZARD, brilliant in CHARMS, before you were FORGOTTEN by your classmates and colleagues, we CALL OUT your name!
Christopher Wares, killed without reason, a MUGGLE, who had been husband and father and brother, who before the camps used his strength and broad shoulders to catch stray animals and help injured ones. Christopher, we CALL OUT your name!
Mark Towler, so YOUNG, so BRAVE, a true GRYFFINDOR, fighting for the hope of a better life for his halfblood family and brothers. He DIED on the sands, for no more reason than ENTERTAINMENT. Mark, so valiant, we CALL OUT your name.
Rowland Vandemar, whose FAMILY CONNECTIONS did not protect him, died on the sands. Rowland, whose skill with numbers will be missed. Rowland, we CALL OUT your name.
Morgan Banbridge, a good friend, a SOLID defender, a voice of REASON among the OPPRESSED Muggleborn wizards and witches. A gifted teller of tales and history, who reminded us NEVER to FORGET. Morgan, we CALL OUT your name.
Jack Sharpe, whose great skill was CUT DOWN in its prime, after being FORCED to take another's life to PRESERVE his own. Jack, if your wand had only joined us, joined the DogStar in fighting against the TYRANT!!! All you who would honour his name and his skill, we are here, we would welcome you in our fight. Jack, we CALL OUT your name.
Imelda Newlin, SHARP sting by wand and by tongue, fierce in defending your LIFE and your PASSION. Queen of the Ravens in your day, wit and beauty and SKILL combined, Imelda, we CALL OUT your name.
And though they were purebloods, we remember Cassius Cameron, Imre Hoffman, and even Lycus Warrington. Unlike SOME, we do not discriminate.
Cassius had a QUICK tongue, and a READY mind. Imre was a fierce PROTECTOR of what he believed, leaving the MLE rather than SERVE the TYRANT! And Lycus, whose loyalty - MISPLACED as it was! - was rewarded by PUBLIC HUMILIATION AND DEATH. See how the tyrant serves his CHOSEN FEW! Cassius, Imre, and Lycus, we CALL OUT your names.
Why did they fight? They were PROMISED much! Some were promised galleons, some better employment. AMELIA SHEARD and CHRISTOPHER WARES and MORGAN BANBRIDGE were promised the chance to rejoin their FAMILIES. Families who should NEVER have been parted.
What did they find? They found DEATH on the SANDS!!!! Wreaths and riderless HORSES will not bring them back! Legal TRIVIALITIES will not bring them back!! And GALLEONS will certainly not bring them back!!!
