We are aware that the weather has been inclement for the past several days but that is no reason to flagrantly break school rules. No running through the corridors; no magic in the corridors.
It certainly includes the setting off of timed glow-bombs in the lower stacks of the Restricted Section! Madam Pince has several shelves of very rare texts there which are sensitive to light and heat. She is perfectly capable of equipping anyone who needs access to these volumes with a low-level lantern charm that will not damage the manuscripts. Moreover, she wishes to remind the NEWT students that access to the Restricted Section is a privilege and if another such incident occurs, she will be forced to bar entry to all students, regardless of level, in which case we will all need to fill out request forms for every book and get them signed by professors, just like before passing OWLs. Which I'm sure no one wants to have to do, so please respect our library and its librarian and remain within the authorised entry areas.
Thank you.

Private Message to Lettice Frobisher and Julius Avery
Date: 2012-03-19 03:20 pm (UTC)Avery, you'd mentioned that Rohani went to you Prefect to Prefect with the counter-complaint, so I wanted to keep you informed as to the extenuating circumstances. Naturally, Frobisher felt if she went to Anderson, she'd only side with her fellow Prefect against Frobisher, even though they're all yearmates.
I've spoken with Professor Vector about the situation. Frobisher will do a detention, while Rohani has offered to share her revision notes to replace Frobisher's own. Unfortunately, Frobisher, Rohani isn't taking Care of Magical Creatures so you'll have to see if someone else will supply notes. I'm sure that under the circumstances your classmates will be happy to help.
About your request, unfortunately, we can't do anything about the dormitory arrangements unless Chambers, Bradley or Anderson are willing to shift over so that one of them is between you two and you're further from the window. I think if you and Rohani just give each other the benefit of the doubt it will
blow oversettle down soon enough. I mean, you two have shared a room for nearly five years without this kind of animosity. Surely it's possible to get through another month or two and perhaps you can all pick different beds next year if it's still a problem.Honestly, Frobisher, I don't think it was deliberate, just an accident. After all, Friday morning looked like it was going to be gorgeous all day; Rohani didn't realize that storm was going to develop over the course of lunch.
I've also had a word with the elves about checking all the dormitory windows in future.
